Space Tech Expo Europe started in Bremen in 2015 with 100 exhibitors. In 2025, it gathered more than 950 exhibiting companies, according to the organizer. For antenna engineers, AIT managers and R&D teams, that growth means one thing: the whole European space supply chain is in the same halls for three days. Anyfields will be there, at stand E09 in Hall 4 on the Occitanie Pavilion, with EMBox XL in the spotlight.

What did Anyfields present at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025?
Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 was the launch event for EMBox XL. Anyfields unveiled it in Bremen as an extension of its portable EMBox mini anechoic chamber. The larger chamber measures standalone antennas, or antennas integrated on satellites up to 24U.
The launch answered a clear shift in the sector. New Space manufacturers are building production lines that must sustain high throughput without losing quality. In that context, antenna testing has become an essential step before launch, and test time a real constraint.
At the time, Stéphane Gemble, CEO of Anyfields, described the ambition behind the product:
“Space Tech has become an essential event for understanding our industry’s expectations. The EMBox XL directly addresses these needs and could become a key component of future production lines, where every antenna must radiate perfectly. Our goal is to support manufacturers by making their validation processes simpler, faster, and cost-effective.”
One year later, Anyfields returns to Bremen to show EMBox XL in operation across R&D, production and AIT scenarios. Read our 2025 recap for the full story.
What is Space Tech Expo Europe?
Space Tech Expo Europe is an annual B2B trade show dedicated to space engineering and technology. It is organized by Smarter Shows, part of Informa Markets. Its stated purpose is to connect the European space supply chain: launch services, satellite operations, communications and ground systems, subsystems, components, materials, software and engineering services.
When and where does it take place?
The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 19 November 2026 at Messe Bremen, Findorffstrasse 101, 28215 Bremen, Germany. The venue is about a 3-minute walk from Bremen Hauptbahnhof, via the station’s north exit.

Who attends, and what else is on the program?
The show started in Bremen in 2015 with 100 exhibitors and gathered more than 950 exhibiting companies in 2025, according to the organizer. Four conference programs run alongside the exhibition, covering civil, commercial and defense space. Registration is free for technical, engineering and manufacturing professionals. A free B2B matchmaking platform lets visitors pre-book meetings on the show floor. See the 2026 conference agenda for the full program.
Where can you find Anyfields at Space Tech Expo Europe 2026?
Anyfields exhibits at stand E09, Hall 4, on the Occitanie Pavilion. The pavilion brings together companies from the Occitanie region, home to Toulouse and one of Europe’s main aerospace hubs. Anyfields was founded in Toulouse in 2021.
An EMBox XL unit will be installed on the stand for live measurements throughout the three days. You can locate Hall 4 on the official floor plan before your visit.
Who will you meet on the Anyfields stand?
Four members of the Anyfields team will be on stand E09 throughout the show: Stéphane Gemble, CEO; Sofian Dauriac, Sales Manager; Manon Bruneau, Product Engineer; and Léa Wagrez, Marketing & Communication Manager. Whether your question concerns a test configuration, a project timeline or a partnership, you will find the right person to talk to.
Bringing a short description of your antenna and test context (frequency, size, integration stage) helps the team give you a precise answer on the spot. For commercial questions before the show, Sofian Dauriac is your point of contact.
Why is EMBox XL in the spotlight this year?
EMBox XL is a compact, integrated anechoic chamber designed for industrial antenna testing. It measures and visualizes an antenna’s radiation in a single click and in under 10 seconds. It supports standalone or embedded antennas, passive or active. It is designed to integrate into R&D, AIT, production and maintenance processes.
The space sector is a natural audience for this approach. Satellite and New Space programs combine fast iteration cycles with demanding integration and validation steps. EMBox XL is not meant to replace far-field ranges or large near-field facilities. It is used to bring a fast, functional measurement step closer to where antennas are designed, built and integrated.
How does EMBox XL support R&D teams?
In R&D, speed of iteration matters as much as accuracy. EMBox XL provides a high-definition map of the electric field radiated by the antenna in a single snapshot. Engineers can see each radiating element at once. In a multi-patch array, for example, a faulty element becomes visible immediately. The Compare function sets a measurement side by side with a simulation imported from HFSS, FEKO or CST. This helps teams spot discrepancies early, before committing to a full characterization campaign.
How does EMBox XL fit into a production line?
In production, the need is repeatability. EMBox XL includes a Go/No-Go function: each antenna is automatically checked against a calibrated reference, with a pass/fail result. This makes it possible to integrate an antenna test step in a production flow without requiring RF expertise from the operator.
What does EMBox XL bring to AIT?
During assembly, integration and testing, antennas are often measured once they are mounted on a platform. EMBox XL can measure embedded antennas, not only standalone ones. It gives AIT teams a functional check of radiation behavior after integration, delivering radiation pattern, gain and half-power beamwidth (HPBW).
Which software functions come with EMBox XL?
| Function | What it does |
|---|---|
| Easy Scan | Single measurement at a user-defined distance and frequency |
| Multi-Scan | Automated sweep over several frequencies and distances |
| Far-Field | Computes radiation pattern, gain and HPBW from the near-field measurement |
| Compare | Compares two measurements, or a measurement with an HFSS/FEKO/CST simulation |
| Go/No-Go | Automatic pass/fail validation against a calibrated reference |
EMBox XL comes with an RF source in three versions: 300 MHz–6 GHz, 2–20 GHz or 20–40 GHz. For full specifications, see the EMBox XL product page and its datasheet.
How does infrared thermography measure an antenna?
All Anyfields instruments, including EMBox XL, rely on a multi-patented infrared thermography method. It is the result of 20 years of research at ONERA, the French aerospace lab. The principle turns an invisible electromagnetic field into a visible thermal image, in four steps:
- Radiation: the antenna under test (AUT) radiates a modulated continuous-wave signal.
- Surface sensor: a broadband film, placed at any distance from the antenna, including in the near-field region, heats up slightly under the radiation.
- Infrared camera: a camera records the temperature profile at the surface of the film over time.
- Post-processing: an algorithm converts the infrared video into a 2D map of the electric field amplitude, in V/m.
From this near-field map, the software computes the far-field radiation pattern, gain and HPBW. The method is non-invasive and captures the whole field map in one acquisition. It is also not limited to a narrow frequency band by the sensor itself; the measurable range depends on the RF source used.
This approach complements established methods. Far-field ranges and near-field scanners remain references for full, high-accuracy characterization. Infrared thermography adds a fast, visual measurement step that teams can run at their desk, on the production line or during integration.
