Why Industry Space Days matters for antenna testing
Industry Space Days is organised by the SME section of ESA’s Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness to foster cooperation across the European space sector. The 2026 edition took place at ESA/ESTEC, ESA’s technical heart in Noordwijk, and combined pre-scheduled one-on-one B2B meetings, an exhibition floor, keynotes and panel discussions, and — new this year — a dedicated Technology Tent showcasing the latest space technologies. The previous edition drew around 1,500 participating companies, giving a sense of the scale of the European space supply chain represented in one place over two days.
For a company working on antenna measurement, this kind of gathering is less about a single sales pitch and more about staying close to how the sector is evolving: what primes and agencies are prioritising, where new programmes are emerging, and where testing and validation still create friction for teams building and integrating RF hardware.
A regular stop for Anyfields, this year as a visitor
Stephane GEMBLE, CEO of Anyfields, attended ISD 2026 as a visitor, continuing a presence the company has kept up at the event for several years. Rather than running a booth, this year’s visit was about meeting people: reconnecting with existing contacts, having conversations with potential partners and taking the pulse of where the European space sector is heading on testing and integration.
This kind of event is essential for us. It sits right at the heart of our industry, and it's a chance to meet major players in the sector who can open the door to real business opportunities. We've been coming for several years now, and we'll be back in Noordwijk soon — this time as an exhibitor, for the ESA Antenna Workshop, another important event for us.
Next stop: the ESA Antenna Workshop
Anyfields will return to Noordwijk shortly, this time as an exhibitor at the 44th ESA Antenna Workshop, taking place from 26 to 29 October, a conference dedicated specifically to antenna and RF engineering. The company will be showcasing EMBox Lab — built on the same infrared-thermography measurement technology as EMBox XL and EMCam — as a compact, hands-on way for the workshop’s RF engineering audience to see what the technology can do, ahead of exploring the higher-capacity EMBox XL and EMCam for their own industrial or field use cases.
