Antenna measurement reinvented: Anyfields unveils the EMBox XL at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025
Nov 26, 2025
Toulouse, November 2025 – Anyfields, a French start-up specializing in antenna measurement, presented its new solution, the EMBox XL, at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 in Bremen, Germany. This innovation aligns closely with the dynamics of the New Space sector, where speed, reliability, and industrialized testing are becoming key success factors.
New Space: a sector in acceleration
The space industry is undergoing major transformation, marked by the massive arrival of private players—from multinational corporations to start-ups—into a domain historically dominated by governments and space agencies.
This shift, fueled by satellite miniaturization and decreasing launch costs, is pushing manufacturers to develop production lines capable of sustaining high throughput while maintaining consistent quality. In this environment, antenna testing has become an essential step to ensure equipment is ready for launch.
EMBox XL: the future of antenna testing for satellite?
At the heart of the Anyfields booth, the EMBox XL drew significant attention. As an extension of the portable mini anechoic chamber EMBox, this expanded version now makes it possible to measure standalone antennas or antennas integrated on satellites up to 24U, meeting the growing demands of New Space players.
Its technology, based on a new approach developed by ONERA, enables high-definition visualization of electromagnetic radiation and provides instant diagnostics, regardless of the operating frequency.
This new solution brings numerous advantages for the production of antennas dedicated to New Space:
Ultra-fast measurement: results in under 10 seconds.
Production integration: can be installed directly within testing phases.
Simplified operation: fast, repeatable, and equipped with intuitive data management for easy use and interpretation by all operators.
Immediate validation: direct control of antenna integrity driven by dedicated software.
A tool supporting the testing process from qualification to acceptance
Supported by CNES and ESA, Anyfields provides solutions tailored to a wide range of sectors: space, telecommunications (5G/6G), automotive, defense, and IoT.
With the EMBox XL, the company aims to meet the needs of New Space manufacturers seeking reliable and rapid tools to reduce testing time and streamline production workflows.
Stéphane Gemble, CEO of Anyfields, emphasized the importance of this development:
"Space Tech has become an essential event for understanding our industry’s expectations. The EMBox XL directly addresses these needs and could become a key component of future production lines, where every antenna must radiate perfectly. Our goal is to support manufacturers by making their validation processes simpler, faster, and cost-effective.”
